Our story

Women owned, family operated, and rooted in Owyhee County.

Wilsey Ranch is a family owned and operated Idaho ranch founded by fourth generation ranchers. Debby operates the ranch with her daughters Lisa and Rachel, Rachel's husband Jake, and daughter Hayden.

The ranch moved from traditional production toward grass fed and finished beef because healthy soil, careful water work, no-till planting, and pasture rotation make better food and a better future for the land.

How it is raised

Pasture rotation, humane handling, and no shortcuts.

Cattle run on intensely managed rangeland in the Owyhee Mountains, feeding on a unique mix of grasses and forbs. They are given no growth hormones, antibiotics, or genetically modified feeds.

Healthy soil first

Wilsey Ranch shifted from a traditional ranch into grass fed and finished beef because the family believes ethical food starts with healthy soil, water, and pasture rotation.

Owyhee adapted cattle

Their beef cattle are Devon mother cows bred to Akaushi bulls, a red Wagyu line selected for tender beef and hardiness on desert rangeland.

More than beef

The ranch has expanded into heritage chickens, free range eggs, pasture pork, CSA boxes, and tallow skin balm made with local herbs and plants.

Wilsey Ranch offers Treasure Valley delivery, rotating meet-up locations, Ketchum / Wood River Valley service, and Boise Farmers Market preorder. The online store is always open, and delivery runs every Tuesday.
